New for 2007 ! - I got sick of patching together my website with Cox . They gave me for free 10 megs per email address. So I just opened up all 7 addresses and linked the webspace together By the time you do this exercise (without over flowing any 10 meg space) you end up with about 50 meg of usable space I bought 5 Gig from Go-Daddy! (That’s 100X more!) No more 800 wide screens, no more low res pictures, no more saving space ! I’m going to the next level in graphics with Flash, mpeg movies and widescreen for the 2007. It’s going to be so brutal if you don’t have cable don’t even try it or smoke may come off your phone wires !

My rant of the week !

We all know how screwed up our government is. Then we have the forest service. Do they even have a clue? They have this new initiative (?) that you can’t travel on un-numbered roads. They (the Forest Service)do not even understand what this means. I have asked several rangers(?) and got conflicting stories. I agree with not traveling on undocumented trails that maybe should be a hiking trails. I agree with not traveling or riding around in open areas, unless you are going to or coming from your camp/ picnic area. I think it is just wrong that people let their kid’s just flat wear out the camping areas riding back and forth, around and around the camper. So, I thought I agreed with this new agenda but what it says is different that what I thought they meant. As first explained to me “un-numbered roads” OK, then as explained later it has to have a number on the road not just on the map. Now this is BULLSHIT! When you camp you have to be less than 1 vehicle length from the road ??? I’m still not sure what they meant, they want you to setup your tent on the edge of the road ????

This whole thing is just a crock. They started with misinformation that sounded OK, reinterpreted it to something much worse, and now say this will cover the entire forest by 2009. ,,,,, BULLSHIT !

I have personally spent thousands of hours in Tonto and Coconino Forest in the 80’s. Now that I have re-emerged as an "ATV idol" known the world over (LOL). In the last 2 years I have spent about 1000 hours in the forests. I know what the problems are and this isn’t it. No one seems to know who came up with this shit ! I’ll bet it was some ass sucking collage boy that had some Sierra Club, Tree Hugging, know nothing , desk camping, forest expert teacher, spewing tails of global disaster. Most of these ass wipes, have only seen areas (or pictures of) that some whiner wanted to show them. They based this new agenda on misinformation. I’m more likely to see one of my friends in the forest than a Forest Ranger. I have seem huge FS complexes and a fleets of trucks that would make the military green (FS green) with envy. It’s too bad I never see any of these people in the forest. I guess they are all sitting in the office figuring how to lock us all out of the forest so they can even do less.

If they want to protect the forest tell the fire fighter to stop setting fires for their own financial gain !

Last weekend we went to Prescott Arizona to do some ATV riding, forget the ATV stuff, lets get to what really pisses me off . Everyone knows that Prescott is full of “The New Population”, left wing democrats from the socialist republic of California. These are the tree huggers (so they say). The green people (so they say). They have handfuls of phony carbon credits. The reality is they brought their bulldozers with them.

Prescott was the “West’s Most Western Town” no matter what anyone said. This is the home to Ruger Firearms, manufacturers of some of the greatest shooting pieces ever made. Davison’s Supply, one of the largest firearms distributors in the world. Many for the most well know gun stores in the country are located in Prescott. This was like Mayberry on steroids with it’s historic Town Square and Whisky Row. The surrounding area is full of horse and cattle ranches. Many of the houses and building are or should be historic sites in the main part of the town.

When entering the town (many miles out) it is obvious that things have changes in the last few years. I notices lots of big construction equipment and sever raping of the topography. I guess they have to just bulldoze everything flat to put in those track homes. The biggest eyesore I have ever seen was the raping of the side of a mountain to build a KIA car dealership. What they did to mother earth was bad enough but to look up at a big red KIA sign is just plan obscene. Who would let them do such a thing. Many of the wooded side roads are not so wooded anymore. I guess I thought those areas were National Forest, I was wrong. It was just the way those lazy redneck maintained their property. They were so lazy that they left all the natural trees and vegetation. I’m sure glad those green people came from California to help them clean it up and get ride of those unwanted trees. ,,,,,,, Why did they move here ? !!!!!

The final phase of their environmental abortion will be legislation. They always do this. They will try and tell you what to do and how to manage your environment, after they have theirs to their liking! If they are going to rape the land like this why didn’t they just stay in their hell hole they created in California?

Sorry for my rant. I’m just a no-nothing-republican that believes you should build with harmony of the environment and preserve as much of what is natural as possible. I almost forgot,,,, lets have these people help manage our forest with their criticism. I guess I don’t know a thing with over 2000 hours in the forest compared to some of them who watch animal planet!

My rant for Feb 2008.

Holy shit ! Whatever happened to shoe sizes ? I wear a size 10-1/2, regular width. My boots when I got out of the service were 10-1/2 (R) and they still fit me. I bought 2 new pairs of REDWING boots (made in the U.S.) and they measured my feet at 10-1/2 ‘s and they fit perfect. All my frickin shoes and tennis shoes that are made in China are marked U.S. size 11-1/2. What the hell can’t those incompetent Chinese follow the standard ? I’m not bitching about their quality or led paint but I should. Mark a 10-1/2 “10-1/2” how hard could that be ?

We have a government agency “Weights & Measures” What do these jack-offs do all day? Don’t they have feet? Isn’t there a standard for the size of a U.S. persons foot ? My god this is silly!

OK the reason I am so pissed. So here I am trying to order ice skates. They ask me “What size do you wear" so I tell them 10-1/2 US or 11-1/2 Chinese US. They don’t know ???,,,, they say to go get my feet measured. I know the answer to this and I still get it done and at an ice-skate store, they measure 10-1/2. Then the guy tells me “so you will wear a size 10” ??? not a 10-1/2 ??? He gets them and I try them on and sure enough a size 10 fits perfect ? In Arizona we do not wear the thick insulated socks. It would be a 10-1/2 with the thick sock,,,, OK. This confirms my size is really a 10-1/2. He also tells me this ½ size smaller only applies to Hockey Skates. I call up the place to order my special Speed Skates (Not Hockey) and tell them the size is 10-1/2 and they tell me this converts to a size 45 in EUR size and would actually be a slightly larger size = 10-3/4. When I get the skates they do NOT FIT they are too tight. It seems the incorrect “Chinese US” size is so prevalent that their table of conversion actually converts from this wrong size to EUR (European). I fact I should have given them the incorrect Chinese size11-1/2 and that would have crossed to a EUR size 46 that is about a size 11-3/4 . The 11-3/4 is really 10-3/4 in real U.S. size,,,, AND THAT’S WHAT I REALLY WANTED ! So the range for my feet now extend from 10 to almost 12 ? This is so wrong!
