It’s been a long wait for Scotty, he got his ATV months ago. He finally got his mom and dad hooked up with a Honda Forman and a "2 up kit".

This is like a shake down run and the 1st real outing for them with the ATVs. We selected Toms Creek entrance (Nf 147) as a good place to ride.

As you can see we are all putts-ing around and poor little Scotty is ready to go!
We are rolling now ! Just 5 more miles to go. (That’s like 20 Micro ATV miles)
The worst of the trail was at the beginning. Scotty got some experience crossing some wash-outs and we all understand his ATV’s clearance problem. He zoomed along nicely on the normal forest roads. Darn! just before the lunch stop at the canyon, the road was closed with many downed trees. ,,, It was just a short walk.
It looks like Mom, Dad and Scotty are all happy visitors to the canyon. This is a great place to eat with a great view. The temperature was about 60 degrees and the wind was really blowing

(Below) I can’t wait to see what his pictures look like.

I think everyone enjoyed the canyon. This is about my 20th trip to this location and I still love it.
This view looks familiar ?
This is a good comparison of the size of the Honda Forman (Right) compared to the Honda Recon. The Forman seems to be well suited to 2 up riding when properly equipped. It’s just like a Recon on steroids ! The Forman Tires are 3 inches taller at 25”
How far can a youngster ride on a micro ATV ? Scotty did just fine and went just under 20 miles. (That’s 80 micro ATV miles to you) LOL. His suspension needs a little work, it didn’t give much. His tires may have been a little hard ? I’m sure his dad will work it out before the next trip.

Check out the sweet setup on this truck. The Honda Forman consumes the entire back of the truck. This customized trailer hitch mount holds that little ATV nicely.

It is so nice not to have to mess with a trailer!
Connie still not wanting to leave, she still had a few more miles left in her. She said she wanted to ride until almost dark. OK, So we went off to Tom’s creek and a few side trails. It sure was getting nippy. As the sun went down the temperature fell to 48 degrees.
It was getting dark, we went for the truck and somehow got loaded and on the highway before it was dark. Another weekend that I didn’t sit around and do nothing. How about you ???
