We don’t give up. The weather was OK with lots of rain prior to the ride. One thing ATV people just love are those water crossing. It was no river but we had a bunch of these small splashers to go through.
Yes it’s true! Buck Mountain Lookout ,,,WAS OPEN ! Even the gate was open. I Just knew if we kept going back that eventually they would screw up and be there.
Come to find out her normal day off is Friday and Saturday. They have a replacement for those days but apparently he fills in at other towers to. I don’t think she appreciated me telling her she should correct the sign, Oh well,,,,,,,,,,,,,.
This tower is considered a “Historic Site”. It is one of only a few all wood constructed towers. I guess about 4 years ago they restored it. I noticed it even has oak flooring just like old houses had. A nice feature of this site is a picnic table and barbeque grill "with facilities". I don’t think you can camp there but if you should find it open it’s a nice place for lunch.
Every way we look it seems like rain is coming toward us or around us. Wet sure seems better than dusty. If it rains it rains, bring it on!
As you can tell by the road it did rain some. Never fear we had our $1.99 rain jackets with us. It was a BIG Plus actually going to Buck Mountain Lookout. You just know that would have made me crazy. Once again it was just luck that it was open . Go any day but Friday or Saturday and your chance would be better. Now we head to Clover Canyon but first we will check to see if Scotty got his parents out ATVing today.

We told them where we would be parking. We couldn’t have timed it better. They were just unloading as we got there. Now we can give our 5 cent tour of Clover Canyon.
The road going over to the Canyon was not difficult. The picture shown was about the worst hill and it was possibly a 2.0 out of 5. Scotty’s mom did great driving that new Honda Forman (her 1st ATV).
This is a view from the edge of Clover Canyon looking at the start of Bear Canyon (I think?). It doesn’t get better than this unless you head to the Grand Canyon.
This is so incredible back here. Very few people even know where this is, and less have actually seen it.
(Right) I have no idea what that is. I always wanted to build a squatter cabin but this is to rustic for me.

It was a great day for everyone. We rode and rode until about 10:30 PM. It was really dark and the trails were wet. We did ride slow and safely, no injuries, no mishaps. It almost got cool out!

It was a lot better day than sitting home ever could have been!
Note:Delay in riding and posting was due to a crazy work schedule and weather issues.
