SEDONA AZ , Red Rock Country, From the top ! 9/19/08
Page 2of2
I have a friend that would stand out on that ledge. LOL Actually it looks like a great place for lunch.
We could have stayed there for hours with or without a camera. As the clouds moved the lighting changed and it continuously looked different. This is an exploratory trip to this area and we will be back. It is most important to move on to the next stop considering the time of day.
The roads in this area are great for ATVs. It’s all level 1, so easy anyone could ride it but the distance is another thing, EXTRA LONG ride !
These pictures are taken from our 2nd stop along the rim. I think the view is better but we are fighting the angle of the sun and conditions. Most of the red rocks are now in the shade, but that’s OK.
This would be a great morning shot
(Below)
The sun peeked through the clouds for just a minute to light up this shot and give it some character. This is at full ZOOM. You can barley make out Sedona between the ridges, many many miles away.
I need some morning sun !
I think I will plan another trip to this area when it is cooler so the air is clearer (I hope). The key will be to proceed directly to the money shots early in the morning, maybe even head in while it is still dark. Shoot, explore, be back at high noon for another shoot. This was the first trip to this area but not the last !
So did you sit-around on the couch all weekend ?
