Yes, we even parked at the same parking spot we had a few weeks ago. On the last trip we made it to the canyon and could see Chevelon Creek at the bottom. The goal this trip is to push north and see if we can get a good view of Chevelon Lake form it’s east wall.

You Geo-Cashers eat your hearts out, I found this survey marker way back in the forest.
We had to take a few side trips. Back in Wildcat Canyon the leaves were changing so we just had to look.
It still may be a bit early for fall colors but this looked pretty good to me. In a few more weeks the temperature will really drop and the rest of the forest should display their fall colors.
We made it to the edge of Chevelon Lake. I don’t believe many have seen this view judging by the trees we had to move to even get in with an ATV.
This ride was worth it, and a great place to have lunch too.
We have not seen anyone for hours. We didn’t see anyone even fishing.
This is a very nice piece of forest after you get a few miles north of Forest Lakes.

We seen many sweet places to camp along all the roads.
