Milk Ranch Point 11/13/2009
We are trying to get in another ride before it turns real cold. The area we selected was another overlooked area. You UFO people may recognize these names Turkey Spring, Milk Ranch Point, Fire In the Sky. We need to go here for a view of Pine Creek and Pine Canyon. A weather front came in and we are starting off with it a bit brisk.
It doesn’t take long for use to find our way to the edge of the canyon. Our plan is to find every trail, every road, every view along the edge down to Milk Ranch Point.
I can feel the temperature dropping. The wife is taken with the view and distracted from her thermometer so I’m not going to ask or look.
A short distance down the trail, we had another great view but lots of bushes blocking our view. It was too wet and slippery to push through bushes. I’m sure we will be back when the weather is better.
Out to the main road and back in, another great spot. We can see the weather coming in for us.
Now the wife said she is getting cold. Yes, that is ice on her pants
It hailed on us and now is raining. Boy did we find a great place! Look at this view ! The view may be better with the weather. The view has once again distracted the wife from being cold.
The weather has turned against us, my camera stopped working, time to head back. As you know we have to stop a few places and have a short look.
Not good, Luckily I was able to get the pictures out of the camera and it actually seems to work OK after drying out. If you look at the picture below (taken with the backup camera) you will see the wife has a flat tire.
We made it less than ½ way to Milk Ranch Point. This will end up being part 1 of 2 but that’s OK. Now we have an excuse to come back and continue this trip.
Things didn’t go great this trip but it’s about the adventure and we didn’t sit on the couch all day. SWEET !
Note: To the best of our knowledge we were not abducted by aliens on this trip.

I do feel probed !
