 New River Canyon, Part 2 of 2, 4/16/2010

My only question is “If I caught them, what would I do to them ??” What jackasses ! I guess they don’t see what I see. Maybe they need glasses, they don’t write very clear. I can’t read it ?

Sign, Butterfly, Sign, Butterfly, Compare and Contrast, Compare and Contrast,,, OK I’m all better now.

Entering New River Canyon

I got a little distracted and started up Table Mesa Rd. It was nothing but rough but did run along side of the river. This entire area has the best rock formations. I see Barney.

I found a wide spot in the river that had an Island in the middle. This seemed like great place to eat a late lunch especially being out here alone. I did see 1 person today. LOL

More rock formations- On the right it’s not like a pile of rocks , more like a wall of rocks. Strange ?

It’s getting late in the day and I better start heading back

Just some more samples of the rock formations- On the left it looks like it was a molten rock with rocks above stuck in it. Right, more balancing rocks. This area has bunches of balancing rocks, more than I have room or time to show you.

Smaller examples of balancing rocks. These are very near the road. How long could these have been here? I guess it means we have never had a really bad earthquake in a zillion years ?

This is the last water crossing back at 7 Springs. The water is running but not very fast. In a few months it will be really warm and this may just be a mushy spot.
