Connie has never been up Moqui Lookout. It seems like every time we came to this area it was closed. I think she hurt her knee so when it was open she could not climb it. Glenn and Jim have never been to this area and Glenn really wants to see Barbershop Canyon. This calls for a trip to act as tour guide and get out of the house.
The 1st stop was Blue Ridge Reservoir. I swear it is usually clear or blue. I have never seen it this florescent green. The water gets to a certain temperature and bang it’s green !
Doesn’t look that bad in this picture but still green.
Glenn was real unhappy with the way he looked with 3 packs on. I promised not to post that picture so here is this one. LOL
Connie finally made it to the top of the tower. Look how far below the tops of the trees are.
I didn’t notice it until I looked down that Jim’s ATV was bigger than mine. Jim was riding the Honda Rancher and not his usual Recon like mine.
It seems the most trusting and almost tame hummingbirds are always on the towers.
Barbershop Canyon , another great place to come and hike around. The Canyon goes down to East Clear creek and the water runs all year. I think Glenn took a bunch of pictures here.
How’s this for a nail ? I don’t understand where we would have picked this up. I sure feel lucky it went in this way and didn’t puncture the tire . I don’t think we could do this again if we tried.
As we got the last tie-down snug the rain can. Perfect timing again, how lucky !
